Dragon Art by Koschetzki
Ceramic Sculptures, Paintings & Jewelry
DragonArtist Studio — Multimedia Art in the Catskills
My ceramic work uses stoneware and porcelain fired in oxidation and reduction to achieve proper vitrification. Glazes are formulated for clarity, depth, and durability. Many pieces are frost‑resistant, suitable for outdoor installation. Each dragon sculpture carries the weight of geology and myth.
In my metals studio, I work in silver using forging, casting, and hand‑setting techniques. Porcelain and natural gemstones bring authenticity and symbolic resonance. Each piece blends mythic imagery with traditional craftsmanship.
Together these paintings form a mythic journey through dragons, celestial figures, memory, and the evolving inner life, each revealing a moment of transformation shaped by imagination, devotion, and time.
The Vision Behind My Dragon Art
Dragon art has been the center of my studio practice for decades, shaped by the disciplines of ceramics, metalsmithing, and painting. Each medium offers a different way to explore the presence, movement, and symbolism of dragons. In clay, the forms rise from gesture and geology; in silver, they emerge through forging, casting, and stone setting; in paint, they appear through rhythm, color, and dreamlike narrative. Together, these approaches create a unified body of dragon art rooted in material mastery and mythic imagination. Whether sculpted in porcelain, carved in stoneware, forged in sterling silver, or painted on linen, each piece reflects the landscape and quiet energy of my Catskill Mountain studio.
Across these mediums, my work continues to explore the presence and symbolism of dragons as guardians, challengers, and companions in the creative process. This ongoing practice reflects decades of refinement, rooted in the Catskills landscape and shaped by a lifelong commitment to material mastery.
Art rooted in material mastery, mythic tradition, and the landscape of the Catskills region.
